JulietI am a fully qualified hypnotherapist with a Diploma in Hypnotherapy with Psychotherapy and Advanced Hypno-Analysis. I trained at the Essex Institute under the supervision of the renowned therapist Terence Watts. As I strive for excellence I have also studied with many other distinguished therapists such as EFT Master Judy Byrne, instructor for doctors and psychiatrists Art Leidecker and HypnoFertility founder Lynsi Eastburn. I am currently studying for an MSc in Consciousness, Spirituality and Transpersonal Psychology which is incredibly enjoyable and interesting but also immensely helpful with my daily client-facing work the modules that I have covered so far are;

Consciousness: Investigating the theory of consciousness. Consciousness is defined as; “the state of being aware of and responsive to one’s surroundings.” Neuroscientists, psychologists and philosophers are still trying to explain the concept of consciousness. Where is our consciousness? Is it in our brain? Is it in the air around us? Is there a global consciousness? Is technology conscious? etc.

Meditation and Mindfulness: As per the NHS website; “Mindfulness is recommended by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) as a way to prevent depression in people who have had three or more bouts of depression in the past.” Meditation is a large part of mindfulness. We have looked in depth at mindfulness practice and how to ensure that mindfulness practitioners live a mindful life – essential to the teaching of mindfulness.

Transformational Leadership: A hugely relevant topic for those in corporations or acting as a leader in any way. James McGregor Burns defined transformation leadership as; “a process where “leaders and their followers raise one another to higher levels of morality and motivation.” We have looked at the work of Ken Wilber, Ruumet and Suzanne Cook-Greuter to see the various stages of a leader, the traits of the most successful leaders and how different types of leaders work best.

Research: We have conducted a small amount of research on “Realising your Self: What is the power of intention?

I am a member of the Hypnobirthing Association, which is accredited by the Royal College of Midwives, the National Council of Hypnotherapists, and registered by the Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC), the UK regulator for complementary healthcare. Practitioners registered with the CNHC meet national occupational standards and abide by a rigorous code of conduct, performance and ethics.

With Sue, I created the revolutionary HypnoGastricBand. This is something we are very proud of and love seeing the fantastic results our clients achieve. We pride ourselves on our process, which differs from other mind bands. We are firm believers that weight control is inhibited by psychological obstacles, and so we always explore the subconscious prior to the HGB session. This simply prevents us from sending clients away with a ‘mask’ covering up the real problem and leaving it to re-emerge at any stage. We also offer a session with a nutritionist, so that each client has an improved knowledge of a diet that will optimise their individual journeys.

I am also co-founder of Fertility2Birth. Fertility2Birth provides help to those struggling to conceive and allows those already pregnant to have amazing birth experiences. The Fertility programme was co-written by Fertility by Hypnosis® Therapist – and co-founder Sue, combining our expert knowledge and experience. Once a client is pregnant they can choose to continue with Fertility2Birth and move onto the HypnoBirth program. The HypnoBirth programme was written after working with lots of pregnant mums. We felt that we should write a more formal process that could still be tailored to the individual. The HypnoBirth classes are a fantastic way for soon to be mums to learn how to have a birth that is as pain free and as natural as possible. I see many HypnoBirth couples in the comfort of their own home, this means that you do not have to lift those tired feet after a long day at work and can relax in your own surroundings. I gave birth to both of my daughters at home, without any pain relief other than hypnobirthing. My birth stories and videos can be found on the birth stories page of this website.
